Michelle puts the finishing touches to the mosaics

Michelle was commissioned by Bovey Tracey Town Council to design and make three large mosaic panels as part of the town's Charter Year celebrations.The project started in November 2009 with a public consultation day when people living in the town were invited to put forward their suggestions of what, where & whome should be dipicted in the mosaics. Exhibits from the heritage centre were shown and old pictures of Bovey Tracey. After much research Michelle put together her designs which were, after several meetings and minor changes, approved by the Town Council.The actual making of the mosaics took nearly 6 months and they have now been presented to the town council, who are aiming to put them up in promenant places in Bovey Tracey as soon as planning permission is obtained.
